Acceptable use

VanishMail is a small, free, receive-only service. To keep it that way, the following uses are not allowed. Violations may result in the inbox being destroyed without notice and reports being filed with the appropriate authorities.

Prohibited uses

• Illegal activity. Anything that is a crime in the jurisdiction in which you or the sender operate.
• Harassment, threats, doxxing, or stalking. Including sending or soliciting unwanted contact.
• Fraud, phishing, or social engineering. Including signing up for services under false pretenses in order to deceive or defraud.
• Account abuse. Mass-creating inboxes to circumvent per-account rate limits, age checks, or other safeguards on third-party services.
• Highly sensitive information. Do not use VanishMail to receive medical records, financial statements, government-issued identifiers, recovery codes for accounts you care about, or anything that you would not be comfortable seeing intercepted by the SMTP server's delivery logs.
• Spam, malware, or unsolicited bulk mail. VanishMail does not let you send, but you also may not generate inboxes in order to receive and forward mail that violates the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, or comparable rules.
• Bypassing moderation or safety systems. If a service has blocked your real address, do not use VanishMail to evade that block.

Enforcement

We will destroy any inbox that we reasonably believe is being used for a prohibited purpose, with or without notice. We may also rate-limit or block specific sending networks that produce a disproportionate share of abusive traffic. The decisions are ours; we do not run a formal appeals process.
